I qualified initially to RIBA I, II, and AA Dip at the Architectural Association, but preferring to work solo, I independently practised drawing and painting, subsequently taking a BA and MA in Sculpture at Central St Martins and Camberwell.

 

My work has been focussed on uniting opposites in my personal psychology; after years of drawing practice too, it is essentially combining the intellectual and emotional components of the psyche.  This has taken the form of geometrical constructions alongside mythical or fantastical creatures;  and at present these themes are more comprehensively united in geometrical solids with surface figuration which emerges in 3D.

 

I am in the process of applying for a practice-based PhD where I would like to make a landscape garden in virtual reality, with garden fabriques combining the disciplines of sculpture and architecture.
